The Clergy Abuse Research Consortium began as a way of sharing our research on clergy sexual abuse with a broader audience. Over time, we hope the consortium evolves and that we are able to showcase the work of various scholars who are systematically and empirically investigating the causes, effects, opinions, and insights related to sexual abuse of minors by clergy.
The Clergy Abuse Research Consortium was founded by Jason D. Spraitz and Kendra N. Bowen in 2015.
Jason D. Spraitz, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Criminal Justice Program at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Kendra N. Bowen, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University.
